Museum-City Collaboration

Collaborating with Boris on the cross-cultural creative exchange "Mexico in Minneapolis" was a great experience. He managed stakeholder differences with sensitivity and consideration. This, combined with his project management skills, ensured this ambitious project was successful.

Boris carefully navigated the complexities of institutional collaboration between the University of Minnesota and the City of Minneapolis. He fostered a partnership that leveraged our respective resources and built bridges between diverse cultural stakeholders - from city officials to community artists. Throughout the process, Boris demonstrated attention to logistical details and sensitivity to stakeholder interests.

The project's impact was profound, creating meaningful connections between master artists from Mexico and local Latinx diaspora artists in Minneapolis. Boris's curatorial approach emphasized cultural authenticity and respectful knowledge exchange, resulting in a transformative experience for all involved.

Our collaboration exemplified the power of partnerships between City governments and museums to foster cross-cultural understanding and community engagement. Boris's leadership was instrumental to its success.
