Art, Law and Immigration

Working with Boris opened up new dimensions for our artistic practice. His innovative approach to curating extends far beyond traditional exhibition-making, focusing instead on fostering meaningful relationships between artists and researchers across diverse disciplines.

Boris's support was instrumental in developing 'Radio Rhizome,' our project combining social engagement, performance, and radio technology to explore hidden narratives of immigration law. He facilitated our fellowship with the Law School's 'Center for New Americans,' enabling us to engage deeply with immigration advocacy work. This project arise ongoing and unfolding to this date.

Boris's unique blend of cross-disciplinary expertise and advocacy for artists as equal partners defines his professional identity. He created an environment where we could engage meaningfully with legal scholars and contribute to academic discourse, despite our lack of legal training. Through Boris's facilitation, we've deepened our artistic practice as a powerful tool for interdisciplinary research and social change. His visionary approach helps reimagine the role of artists in society and academia, pushing the boundaries of what art can achieve in collaboration with other fields of knowledge.
